The Dater Foundation sends congratulations to Last Mile Food Rescue as recipient of one of Bank of America’s two $200,000 Neighborhood Builder awards for 2022.  Mark Ryan, President of Bank of America Cincinnati, presented the award to Last Mile Co-founder and Executive Director Julie Shifman who was accompanied by staff, volunteer food rescuers, food donors and financial supporters. Neighborhood Builders is a part of BOA’s broader efforts to build thriving communities by addressing issues fundamental to economic mobility.  Last Mile is in its second full year of operation and expects to rescue more than two million pounds of food in 2022.  The Dater Foundation was an early supporter, making its first grant in June 2020 in the organization’s startup phase.
