Overview
Links to the Foundation's online, web-based Grant Appliocaton
and Grant Evaluation Report sections of the web site are at the bottom
of this page scroll down.
Non-profit organizations in Greater Cincinnati seeking funding for
high impact programs and projects that benefit children are encouraged
to submit a grant application request.
Important - reading or reviewing the Grant
Request/Application Guidelines should be the first step in the process.
This can result in significant time savings for applicants, especially
if an organization or its program/project does not fit the Foundation's
general grant application criteria.
The Guidelines include background information on the Foundation, its
grantmaking history, grantmaking focus, and timing issues. The News
section of this web site includes news releases summarizing recent
grants made by the Foundation and past annual reports.
Online Grant Application Process
The Dater Foundation recently launched an online, web-based grant
application process in 2010. Reaction from grant seekers has been that
the process is easier and more time efficient for them.
The customized format mirrors the Foundation's previous hard-copy
format. Applicants are directed to fill in specific fields and upload
certain attachments. They may also upload additional attachments if they
choose. A link to the online Grant Application is below.
Anyone with questions may call or email Grants Coordinator Beth
Broomall at 513/241-2658 or email bb@DaterFoundation. org. The
Foundation welcomes feedback and suggestions about the grant application
process.
Online Grant Evaluation Report Process
Grant Evaluation Reports for programs/projects funded by the
Foundation are also being handled through the web-based online system.
This includes successful Grant Applications that were submitted in
hard-copy format prior to the launch of the online, web-based grant
application process.
Grant recipients will be notified and sent a web site link by the
Foundation about six months after getting their grant award and in
advance of their Grant Evaluation Report's due date. A grant recipient
wanting to submit a Grant Evaluation prior to being contacted by the
Foundation may use the link at the bottom of this page, or contact Beth
Broomall at the Foundation office bb@DaterFoundation. org.
Pre-Application Summary Proposal
Lest a grant applicant spend undue time filling out the complete
online form for a grant application request that is not likely to be
funded, the Foundation will accept a one-page "pre-application summary
proposal" and provide feedback to an organization. This document should
include general information about the organization, program/project
description and budget, who has or will be impacted by the program, the
anticipated amount of a grant request, and other sources of funding.
