Youth Education Program

Youth Education Programs are central to the mission to provide a connection to nature for people of all ages and abilities. Specifically, the School-age Program serves over 6,500 K-6th grade students and 100 teachers and adult caregivers each year through a variety of immersive and hands-on programs. Each is designed to spark a passion for nature and the environment. Schools from throughout the Cincinnati region visit the Nature Center to participate in field trips and attend teacher training. Smaller-scale off-site programs such as schoolyard native garden installations are also provided. In 2021-2022, CNC will formally introducing the newest component to its School Programs: Next in Nature. This program focuses on conservation education for students ages 13-18; it will empower them to address the environmental issues that impact their futures, while also teaching them life skills and building confidence.
