Cooking for the Family
Cooking for the Family is an award winning program which directly serves impoverished and underserved families within the Greater Cincinnati area. The program provides nutrition education and skill based cooking with a focus on healthy meal planning and affordable meals. The program encourages a healthy lifestyle for families by teaching parents how to plan meals, shop and negotiate at markets, and cook nutritiously avoiding fast foods purchases. Over 500 local families have participated in Cooking for the Family since 2018 and over 71 % report they still practice the skills they learned one year later.
