2021 Summer Service Internship Program
For the past 25 summers, the Xavier University Summer Service Internship Program has provided a unique opportunity to nurture the commitment to community service in college youth. In 2021, the program placed 12 college interns in full-time service at selected local community agencies. These are the students who were deferred last summer due to COVID. These interns will provided approximately 3,000 hours of service at 12 agencies. About half of the interns worked at sites that directly benefit children and youth. The agencies may include Kennedy Heights Art Center, Project Connect, Su Casa Hispanic Center, Boys and Girls Club, and Imago Earth Center.
