ProKids exists because of the nearly 4,000 children in Greater Cincinnati who have suffered such severe abuse and neglect that they have been placed into Hamilton County’s child protection system, most into foster care. ProKids vision is a safe, permanent, and nurturing home for every child. Through CASA University, ProKids recruits and trains community members to become Court Appointed Special Advocates, known as CASA Volunteers, to passionately and persuasively advocate on behalf of the best interest of abused and neglected children. These dedicated CASA Volunteers ensure that each child receives the services and support they need to heal from their traumas, and, ultimately, guide them into a safe, permanent, and nurturing home where they can thrive.
