Environmental Education Program

Keep Cincinnati Beautiful’s Environmental Education program is to offer natural experiences that advance the development of youth from impoverished households by helping them grow responsibility, develop academic skills, and explore careers in science and engineering. Our program brings nature into the classroom and classrooms outside into nature so students can gain the skills and knowledge they will need to succeed and make a positive difference in their community. KCB coordinates with underserved schools in the Greater Cincinnati area to provide: assemblies, classroom presentations, service learning, and field trips at no cost. Often our free programs are the only experiential learning a student participates in because their schools do not have funding for field trips or outside presenters. In 2018-19 school year, through the support of the Dater Foundation, KCB engaged over 28,000 students helping them realize that they play an important role in protecting the environment.
