#ReLaunch d2D

The Boys & Girls Clubs program is an out of school program for at-risk youth from disadvantaged circumstances focusing on improving academic performance, healthy living and service leadership.  Diplomas to Degrees (d2D) to prepares Club members for trade school, community college, or a four-year college/university.  Using a proven curriculum, the d2D program provides a series of hands on workshops for teens on critical topics such as: why college is important; academic preparation; gaining practical skills; college search; the application process; financial aid; career exploration; resume building; and money management.  In addition to the d2D components described above, BGCGC recognized the need to extend its programming outside of the Clubs' walls and into the community in order to strengthen the program.  In the fall of 2018, the previous d2D program was “re-launched" to become the #ReLaunch d2D. Now, along with the current curriculum, an additional component focuses on the skilled trades, workforce readiness/job training, and manufacturing jobs as well as other careers including cosmetology, culinary and health care jobs available to them upon graduation from high school or through a certification program.
